ASTRONOMY
The clear skies and absence of street lighting make our location perfect for astronomy.
If you are a serious astronomer please feel free to bring your equipment !!
If (like us) you'd just like to have a good look at the moon from time to time, we have an astronomical telescope and just enough knowledge available !
DOGS
Our property is Dog Friendly as long as your pooch is quiet and on lead when out and about.
For a modest fee we can also provide dog obedience training from a fully accredited Dogs NSW instructor.
HORSES
Your horse is welcome too!
We have a stable and tac room available for people wishing to bed their horse for the night as well as themselves.
BOATING / FISHING
We are ON Mangrove Creek.
You can fish off any point of the property's 1km of creek frontage or make use of the private jetty. Flathead and Bream are commonly caught here.
If you have a boat you can launch it from our beach or the nearby boat ramp at Spencer. If your staying a few nights you can leave the boat in the water tied up at the jetty.
There is a shower and tap located in the area by the jetty and beach for cleaning the catch.
Via the creek we are just 6kms from Spencer and the Hawkesbury river itself. You're then in Jewfish / Mulloway territory as well as the many other species the Hawkesbury system offers.
THE FARM
We have a vegetable & herb garden as well as selection of animals including chickens, horses and some pure bred Angus Lowline cattle.
There is an abundance of birdlife as well as the occassional wombat, wallaby or kangaroo.
JUST RELAX
If you need somewhere to unwind and do nothing in a peaceful surrounding you've found it.
We proudly boast that we have NO MOBILE PHONE RECEPTION.
You can sit by the fire or down at the beach and simply chill out.
Mangrove Creek Cottage is the perfect place to read a book and laze about.
We have a 7 person spa available that is simply perfect for 1 or 2 people !!!
We're forever planting out and improving the gardens and creating niches for visitors to sit and contemplate their surroundings.
We have a gas BBQ, Microwave oven kitchenette with sink, crockery & cutlery.
If you let us know when booking we can provide BBQ and breakfast hampers at an additional cost.
There are local shops that can also provide breakfasts and lunches and nearby clubs can also provide dinners.
